Core Games

These games are the games that the majority of the other games are built off of, with one or more may be required to play some of the mods we typically play.

We mostly play Steam games or mods of Steam games (games that build off of the source engine), so if you don't have the source engine we have been recommending the Source Multiplayer Pack (currently $29.99), but if you have to pick one game to get through Steam we recommend getting Counter-Strike: Source (currently $19.99) since we play CSS or mods of CSS the most, although the least expensive is Half-Life 2 Deathmatch (currently $4.99). All of the above are available through the Steam Store.

Counter-Strike: Source (CSS)

As a terrorist vs counter terrorist game, this game has consistantly been a favorite of the game nights, whether playing the regular version of the game, or the Gun Game mod. One of the core games along side Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, if you don't have this game you can pick it up at the Steam Store. We recommend getting the "Source Multiplayer Pack" which provides both CS:S and HL2:DM.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch (HL2)

One of the core games, most of the mods we play build either off this or Counter Strike: Source. You can find this one through the Steam Store, if you don't have it we typically recommend getting the "Source Multiplayer Pack" combo pack.
